After an amazing summer full of fun, it's back to the studio! I just finished a special project to benefit the fight against breast cancer. Four of my close friends are walking this weekend in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. Since I am unable to walk with them, I am donating my time, money and art for the cause. My husband and I wrote a personal check and designed a logo for my friends, the "Ya-yas for Ta-tas." I created two new 12x12 mixed media collage pieces, "grow hope pink" and "grow hope blue." I am auctioning them off and donating 100% of the purchase price to the Ya-Yas and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Bidding starts today at $50 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8th. If you are interested in making an offer, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. On a separate note, I recently enjoyed visiting with many fellow Artomatic artists at the Lorton Workhouse and Del Ray's Art on the Avenue.
