It's been a while since I've participated in a Del Ray art show, but I couldn't let this one pass me by! "Creatures from the Sea" was calling my name! My whole house is filled with sea creatures 
smile emoticon.  These two are in the show which opens Friday night, April 1st (no fooling) and runs through May 1st! I also have a few mini mermaids in the art to go section. Going Coastal--Happy World Ocean Day!

Happy World Ocean Day! My life-long love affair with the ocean is still going strong as I continue to be inspired by her beauty and abundance!  With the ocean as my inner muse, I am “Going Coastal!”  Take a peek at all the “coastal creations” I have in progress--most are just about done!  Almost makes me feel like I’m at the beach, which is where I plan to take some of these pieces this summer. Ready for Summer--Mermaids and More!!!

Now that the weather is warmer and the days are longer, I am filled with an overwhelming urge to hit the beach!  In the meantime, I am having fun in the studio creating more mixed media mermaids, sailboats, and beach blocks!  I hope to have some of these colorful creations for sale in the OBX this summer!  A lot of my artwork is for sale now at the Artful Gift Shop in Vienna, VA.  You can always contact me directly at jackietury@gmail.com to purchase art or to register for one of my Art Parties or Workshops!  Hope to see you soon!
