Back home and playing catch up!

My April and May Art Parties were "On the Road" and I am just now playing catch up!  I took some much needed time off from my art biz the last couple of weeks to catch my breath and spend time with my family.  My main focus now is finishing the school year and preparing for my daughter's graduation!  My next art party will most likely be in July.  In the meantime, hope you enjoy these photos from the last two art parties/workshops!  Please check back often :) Feel free to email me at jackietury@gmail.com to request an art party or workshop or to be added to my mailing list. Sweet Surrender!

To me, surrender does not mean giving up, but rather giving in.  I have had a deep yearning all summer to turn inward, to detach from social media, to slow down and shift focus.  Instead of surrendering to this urge, I have resisted.  With the blue moon rising, I am finally ready to surrender--to self, to solitude, to summer, to soul...

Instead of being the sun and radiating all of my energy outwards and in all different directions, I am choosing for now to be the moon.  To sit quietly and  gather my energy inward...to reflect and center once more.  Wishing you peace and surrender...

Summer Sea Series!

Ahhh…summer! Lazy afternoons reading on the back porch, extra time with my children and family, trips to the beach to play in the ocean!  After the successful completion of the "Music in Art" show, I am more than ready to relax into summer!  The first thing on my summer "to do" list was to get a stack of good books for summer reading.  I started with "Language of Flowers" and loved this book so much, it will be hard to top.  The next thing on my list was to create a new Sea themed series based on the "dream big" whale I painted last summer.  I painted a new "dream big" whale and added a mermaid "reach for the stars," a fish "dare to be different," and a snail "go at your own pace."  I hope to take this series down to the beach with me, which is next on my list!   As always, if you are interested in purchasing one of my colorful artful affirmations just send me an email at jackietury@gmail.com.  Happy summer!
